Google For Education
In 2022, Beaconhouse partnered with Tech Valley, a digital consulting firm and country partner of Google for Education in Pakistan, to incorporate different Google technologies in Beaconhouse schools, carrying forward its mission to inculcate global best practices to improve education delivery. Tech Valley, with the support of international Google for Education teams, assists Beaconhouse in incorporating devices for its education programmes and conducts training for teachers and staff to help them effectively utilise Google technologies such as Google Workspace and Google Cloud Platform. As Tech Valley’s first education sector partner, we look forward to this project which will empower our students with Google tools and devices.
University College London
Beaconhouse is University College of London’s only professional development partner in Pakistan. Our teachers regularly enrol in the Professional Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) programme offered by the prestigious UCL – Institute of Education (IOE), rated as the world number one for Education. The programme is a lifetime opportunity for teachers to develop and enhance professional teaching and learning practices.
Pearson
Beaconhouse and Pearson signed an MoU in 2022, under which Pearson is facilitating the digital transformation required for the International GCSE examinations to be conducted on-screen and online, along with mock exams via the Mocks Service, marked by Pearson examiners. Beaconhouse is initially offering Pearson Edexcel IGCSE qualifications at five branches, and will later expand further. In addition to this, Pearson also offers course preparation e-books to students in all available subjects, as well as online teacher training courses to prepare teachers for the relevant Pearson Edexcel exam syllabus.
FranklinCovey
Beaconhouse and FranklinCovey Education forged a partnership for the ‘Leader In Me’ programme, in 2022. The programme is a school transformational model and process that empowers students with leadership and life skills necessary to thrive in the 21st century. FranklinCovey’s Leader in Me is an evidence-based training model, developed by educators to build resilience and leadership in students, create a high-trust culture, and help improve academic achievement. Leader in Me, Pakistan is a value addition to the existing curriculum of Beaconhouse. In the longer run, this endeavour will help us raise and educate effective future leaders for our country. Pakistan is the third in school strength for the Leader in Me programme after the United States and Brazil.
Professional Training Institute (PTI)
In 2022, 17 teachers from Beaconhouse successfully completed the inaugural International Subject Leadership Certificate by the UK-based Professional Training Institute.
The 18-month accreditation is a modular course that allows participants to work with experienced practitioners to design exceptional lessons. It aims to develop subject leaders through the design and delivery of challenging Schemes of Work (SOW).
Teachers enrolled in the course reflected on the current context of their subject within their school curriculum, considered what makes successful subject leadership, and explored the course success criteria during the online launch meeting. They gathered evidence to help reflect upon and illustrate the impact of their work on pupils, colleagues and themselves. During the course, participants were assessed in peer-to-peer professional interviews during an online review meeting, to discuss and reflect upon the success and impact of their work.
The Professional Training Institute is a UK education charity supporting teachers at all stages of their career to develop specialist subject knowledge.
Global Dignity
Beaconhouse is the largest global educational partner of Global Dignity, an independent, non-profit organisation, working towards creating a global conversation about dignity and promoting dignity-based leadership. Global Dignity Day is celebrated annually at Beaconhouse branches all over the world including Pakistan, Malaysia, Philippines, the UAE and Oman.
